At Meshbesher & Spence, we’ve spent over 60 years fighting to protect the rights of Minnesotans who’ve been harmed through no fault of their own. That commitment lives in every case we take and in the people who lead our firm.

This month, we’re proud to share that partner and trial attorney Josh Tuchscherer has been elected President of the Minnesota Association for Justice (MAJ), the state’s leading organization for trial lawyers. His term officially begins August 14, 2025.
For over 20 years, Josh has been an active member of MAJ, including service on its Board of Governors and Executive Committee. This election recognizes his dedication not only to his clients but also to the broader fight for justice in our state.
About the Minnesota Association for Justice
Founded in 1954 by a small group of dedicated trial lawyers, the Minnesota Association for Justice (MAJ) was created to protect the rights of the injured and the accused, share knowledge among practitioners, and influence legislation to better serve everyday Minnesotans. What began as a grassroots initiative has grown into one of the most influential legal organizations in the state.
At its core, the organization works to ensure that access to the legal system is not limited by wealth, power, or privilege. MAJ advocates for policy and funding reforms that remove the barriers many Minnesotans face when taking legal action. Whether it’s a denied insurance claim, a dangerous product, or a violation of civil rights, MAJ ensures that ordinary people still have a pathway to accountability.
At Meshbesher & Spence, these ideals are more than aspirational; they’re foundational. Our work on behalf of injured clients reflects the same belief that the courtroom should be a place where justice is accessible, fair, and fiercely defended. Josh Tuchscherer’s leadership role as MAJ President is a continuation of that mission, and a reaffirmation of our firm’s longstanding commitment to standing up for Minnesotans.
“It’s a true privilege to serve as President of the Minnesota Association for Justice. For me, this work has always been about helping real people find a solid path forward after hardship. As President, I will continue to champion the rights of ordinary Minnesotans, ensuring that our courthouses remain open and accessible to all.”
