Mr. Boivin is certified as a Civil Trial
Specialist by the Minnesota State Bar Association. He has also
been recognized as a "Super Lawyer" by his peers. Leading a
team of lawyers in the Meshbesher & Spence Business Group,
Dan's practice emphasizes business litigation while also
representing the needs of the individual. Recently Dan
obtained a $5.4 million dollar verdict on behalf of a small
businessman who lost his business due to unscrupulous practice
of an equipment dealer. He has handled such diverse topics as
employment, sexual harassment, ERISA, trusts and estate law,
probate, malpractice, fraud, UCC, family law, insurance, trade
secrets, non-compete agreements, buy-sell agreements,
shareholder disputes, tax disputes, securities, governmental
disputes and real estate. He has been in the forefront of
alternative fee arrangements, recognizing that sometimes
business and individuals may need to go beyond the traditional
hourly billing method.
