Yesterday Op-Ed Columnist for the New York Times, Nicholas Kristof, wrote an incriminating article about how the world’s fifth-largest pharmaceutical company, Johnson & Johnson went to market with the drug Risperdal.

“Risperdal is a cautionary tale: When we allow businesses to profit from crimes, we all lose.”-Nicholas Kristof

According to the article, J&J put profit above everything else when they marketed the drug. In fact, Kristof reports that J&J aggressively marketed the drug to the elderly even after Risperdal didn’t receive FDA approval for this population.

J&J then targeted children ignoring the fact that 5.5 percent of boys developed large breasts, a condition known as Gynecomastia, while taking Risperdal.
